Ombori is very proud to announce their successful collaboration with Swedish designers VisualArt and Microsoft to create a unique retail installation for H&M's flagship store in New York's prestigious Times Square.
The device appears to be a simple piece of digital signage, displaying traditional promotional material. However, when a customer stops and looks at it, it transforms into an interactive experience, and begins speaking to them. It offers them the choice between seeing items on sale or taking a selfie. If they choose to take a photograph, it uses this to create a unique magazine style image, which the customer can then save. It also offers the customer the opportunity to sign up for the H&M newsletter, as well as coupons that can be used towards in-store purchases.
"This has been a really fun project to work on," said Ombori CEO Andreas Hassellöf. "We're creating a completely new way for customers to interact with a brand in-store. People are becoming more comfortable with voice interactions these days, and it feels natural to talk to a screen now. This is something that shoppers enjoy, and which requires no involvement of store staff. Working with VisualArt and Microsoft has enabled us to deliver the sort of installation we've been wanting to create for a long time."
